Elizabeth Gillies is an American actress singer and songwriter. Her most well-known work is her character Lucy in the musical 13 as well as Jade West in the Nickelodeon sictom Victorious. Her first job was doing commercials. In 2007, she made her debut on television in The Black Donnellys. In the Nickelodeon TV series Victorious in which she appeared as Jade West between 2010 and 2013. She was a lead character in FX's comedy Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll. In the film, she acted as an actress in her younger years, including Babel (2006), the Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008 and Phoebe in Wonderland (8). The Critics Choice Movie Awards nominated her as the Best Young Actress in 2010 in Sofia Coppola's Somewhere. The year after, she received recognition for her role as the lead in the sci-fi thriller Super 8, which won the Spotlight Award in the Hollywood film festival. In 2011, she played the lead character in the comedy We Bought a Zoo (2012) as well as Ginger & Rosa (2013). In 2014 and 2019 she portrayed the princess Aurora role in Maleficent.
